The golden rule

Most of my moral intuitions are well-encapsulated by the maxim: “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”┬áThis is a principle which has extremely broad intuitive appeal, and so it seems worth exploring how I end up with a relatively unusual ethical perspective.

Three impacts of machine intelligence

I think that the development of human level AI in my lifetime is quite plausible; I would give it more than a 1-in-5 chance. In this post I want to briefly discuss what I see as the most important impacts of AI.
